More than 15 million people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the UK.

Nadim Jahawi, Vice Minister of Vaccine Affairs, wrote on Twitter on the 14th local time "15,000,000!" and said, "I will give the first dose to all vulnerable groups and over 50 years old by the end of April."

The UK was the first in the world to receive the Pfizer vaccine on December 8th.

Subsequently, with the addition of the AstraZeneca vaccine earlier this year, vaccination began to accelerate in earnest.

By the middle of this month, the UK government has set a goal and accelerated the primary vaccination of four priority groups: 70 years of age or older, the vulnerable, health care workers, and nursing home residents.

The UK Joint Commission on Vaccination and Immunization estimates this population of 15 million people.

From the 15th in the UK, the range of vaccinations will be extended to 65 and older.
