Syrian tweeters celebrated the image of a sixty-year-old man while he was performing exams with a group of students at the University of Idlib, northern Syria.

The picture shows Haji Abdul Karim al-Bakri (63 years old), who is displaced from the city of Tamanah in Idlib governorate, and is studying history for the second year, and has achieved high marks in his exams.

Abdul Karim al-Bakri said in an exclusive interview with Sanad, “My return to school is linked to the harsh living conditions and my father’s illness in my youth, as I was unable to complete my studies, and regret remained in my heart, so I went back to study again.”

Al-Bakri added, "I have given the university more than 120 books from my private library, which are valuable books that are not in the current libraries, and my entry to the university at this age is an incentive for young people to seek knowledge."
