Bonn (AP) - The basketball players from Syntainics MBC are in free fall.
The Weißenfelser lost their guest appearance at the Telekom Baskets Bonn on Sunday with 66:83 (36:41) and missed the revenge for the 97: 103 defeat against the Rhinelander on February 6th.
After the sixth bankruptcy in a row, Silvano Poropat's protégés fell back to third from bottom and are only four points ahead of the first relegation place.
The Weißenfelser never got a grip on the outstanding Chris Weiler-Babb (24) from Bonn.
Aleksandar Marelja (21) scored the most points for the guests.
The Central Germans could only open the action in the first half.
In the third quarter, however, the Bonn team made things clear within five minutes.
With a 17-0 run of 41:38 (21st minute), the home side pulled away to 58:38 and benefited above all from their superiority among the baskets (43:29 rebounds).
