Bochum (dpa / lni) - Eintracht Braunschweig has conceded the next defeat in the relegation battle of the 2nd Bundesliga.

The table penultimate lost on Sunday at second VfL Bochum, as expected, with 0: 2 (0: 2), but missed two big chances.

In the eighth minute, Armel Bella Kotchap took the lead for VfL.

It was Braunschweig's eleventh goal conceded in the opening quarter of an hour of a game this season.

Then Dong-won Ji missed a penalty for Eintracht (25th), before Marcel Bär shot over the empty goal from the edge of the penalty area (27th).

Danilo Soares punished this with the second Bochum goal just five minutes later (32nd).

After the break, VfL was clearly better.

As is so often the case, the Braunschweig team were too flawed at the back and too harmless at the front.

That puts the promoted team under great pressure before the next three games, because then it goes against three opponents from the lower half of the table in succession: Jahn Regensburg, 1. FC Nürnberg and the main rivals SV Sandhausen, who as table 16.

lost against Karlsruher SC after a 2-0 lead with 2: 3.
