The epidemic situation is particularly worrying in Moselle where variants of Covid-19 are circulating.

The application of local measures is in question, opposing some local elected officials to the government.

The president (LR) of the Grand Est regional council, Jean Rottner, was the guest of Europe 1 on Saturday.

INTERVIEW

While the epidemic circulation due to the variants of Covid-19 remains extremely strong in Moselle, the prefecture refuses for the moment to close schools and to take local containment measures.

The measure is in any case fiercely discussed between local elected officials and the government.

"If really in the coming days the situation will deteriorate further, we will not have to be afraid and have the courage to resort to confinement," said Jean Rottner, LR president of the Grand Est regional council, at the microphone of Europe 1 Saturday.
