Dresden / Berlin (dpa) - Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier wants to discuss medical care in the Corona crisis online with people from Saxony.

As the Federal President's Office announced on Friday, Steinmeier wants to exchange information via video on February 18 with, among other things, a nursing manager at a Werzeit intensive care unit, a general practitioner from Pirna and a chief doctor from the Czech Republic who works in Zittau.

In the so-called regional talks, the Federal President speaks regularly with people who are particularly challenged by the pandemic.

Steinmeier had already visited Corona helpers in Dresden last September.

Another meeting is planned for the end of February on the subject of vaccinations in Bavaria.
