Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The State Criminal Police Office of Baden-Württemberg warns of false job advertisements.

Accordingly, fraudsters lure people with supposed dream jobs on the Internet.

The task: take delivery of goods and then forward them to another address.

The more packages you forward, the more money you get.

What sounds too good to be true is a pure rip-off scam, as the LKA announced on Friday.

Because the goods that are supposed to be forwarded have been ordered by criminals in advance with a fake customer account.

The companies then demand the money from the person who thinks they were actually employed to forward the goods.

According to the LKA, it is difficult to identify the wrong job advertisements because the perpetrators placed them on common Internet portals.

They then sent out serious-looking employment contracts, asking, among other things, for the social security number, the data on the health insurance company and the bank account.

Sometimes the criminals are also looking for people who first open an account with the video identification process and forward amounts of money for a commission.

In individual cases, the defrauded transfer up to 20,000 euros, according to the State Criminal Police Office.

«Even in these cases, ignorance does not protect against punishment.

However, in our experience, the courts take into account that the victims were fraudulently deceived, ”said Fred Braun, head of the white-collar crime department at the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office.

Therefore, the basic rule applies: the more tempting an offer, the more critical one should be.
