This is stated in the message of the Russian Embassy in Lithuania.

As noted in the department, on February 2, Russian Ambassador Alexei Isakov presented his credentials to President of the Republic Gitanas Nauseda.

“During the conversation, the issues of the current state of Russian-Lithuanian relations were touched upon.

From our side, the importance of their improvement and promotion of bilateral ties in various spheres, including cultural, scientific and educational and others, was noted, ”the embassy said.

They added that Isakov stressed his readiness to cooperate with Lithuania on the principles of good neighborliness, respect and mutual consideration of interests, provided there is a similar approach on the part of the Lithuanian partners.

In October 2020, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Alexei Isakov as Ambassador to Lithuania instead of Alexander Udaltsov.
