Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - The Nuremberg Vesper Church, a social service with food distribution in the southern part of the city, has postponed its start planned for February 21 to March 1.

This was announced by the Protestant parish Lichtenhof on Friday.

For three weeks, warm lunches will be given out either free of charge or in return for small donations - up to 300 servings a day.

There are Vesper churches in winter in several federal states.

Usually, a symbolic amount is charged for the food, in Corona times it is waived, according to the municipality.

The usual accompanying events such as concerts and church services will have to be canceled this year.
