Munich (dpa / lby) - After the cabinet, the Bavarian state parliament must now decide to extend the lockdown until March 7th.

The special session on Friday is not just about the extension, the resolution also includes easing.

From February 22nd, elementary school students and special needs students are to go back to alternating classes, and the day-care centers are also to gradually start operating again.

In addition, from March 1, the hairdressers and from February 22, the driving schools in the Free State should again be allowed to offer their services under hygiene requirements.

All easing should no longer apply from an incidence of 100 in the affected communities.

The resolutions that the cabinet passed on Thursday essentially go back to the timetable that the federal and state governments agreed on at their video conference in the middle of the week.

With the new Infection Protection Ordinance coming into force on Monday, the nationwide exit restrictions from 9 p.m. will also be significantly relaxed.

It is then only valid in hotspots from 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week and then only from 10 p.m.

There was immediately a lot of criticism from the opposition in the state parliament about the further course of action in Bavaria.

FDP parliamentary group leader Martin Hagen spoke of "disappointing resolutions", the government owes the people a real opening perspective.

SPD parliamentary group leader Horst Arnold spoke of "incomplete" easing due to the lack of prospects for culture, retail and universities.

AfD parliamentary group leader Katrin Ebner-Steiner criticized the fact that “minimal concessions” were sold as relaxation.
