On Saturday night, severe frosts and temperatures between minus 13 and minus 17 degrees are to be expected.

In the Thuringian Basin it can also get cold down to minus 20 degrees.

On Saturday the maximum values ​​will be between minus eight and minus seven degrees.

Except in the mountain areas, there is mostly no wind.

On Sunday night, frosty temperatures of down to minus 20 degrees are to be expected again.

"Sunday then lives up to its name," said the DWD spokeswoman.

With a few snowflakes, a lot of sun and maximum temperatures of minus two to minus five degrees can be expected.

The night on Monday will be frosty cold again with highs between minus 12 and minus 13 degrees.
