Würzburg (dpa / lby) - The next Bundesliga game of the basketball players from s.Oliver Würzburg has been canceled after a positive Corona test.

The question was clarified by a DNA test commissioned by the Würzburg company.

According to the Franconian club, the player is still in domestic isolation without symptoms and has been tested several times with negative results in the meantime.

Since all contact persons have consistently negative test results, “from our point of view there is a high probability that it is a false positive test result,” said managing director Steffen Liebler: “But there is still a residual risk, so the health of everyone involved is still important first and our team remains in the quarantine ordered by the health department. "

According to a decision by the Würzburg health department, 15 contact persons of the player concerned are only allowed to stay in their own apartments or in the training center and commute between the two locations until February 22nd.

Corona rapid tests with negative results must also be carried out on all those involved before each training session.

The quarantine can be shortened by the health department from 14 to 10 days if all affected persons have at least two negative test results during this period.
