World Health Organization (WHO) investigators found that more than 90 people were hospitalized in China in October 2019 for symptoms similar to Corona 19.

It was two months before the first case of an outbreak recognized by the Chinese government was officially reported.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on the 10th local time, the WHO field investigation team obtained medical records from the Chinese government of 92 people hospitalized with symptoms similar to Corona 19 in Hubei Province, China.

The newspaper reported that 92 people suffered from pneumonia or other COVID-19-like symptoms.

Chinese authorities have conducted serum tests on them in recent months to determine the presence or absence of COVID-19 antibodies, but a third of them have already died or have refused to test, according to WHO investigative chief Peter Ben Embarek.

The rest of the patients who responded to the test were all negative, but experts explained that that alone cannot conclude that they have never had COVID-19.

They could have had their antibodies reduced to undetectable levels more than a year after they got sick.

"The numbers don't matter," said Embarek, "the number doesn't matter. What's important is how reliable a serum test that is more than a year old from infection will detect COVID-19 antibodies."

Given that COVID-19 symptoms are similar to other respiratory diseases, we cannot be sure that these 92 patients really have COVID-19, but outside experts have agreed that it is well worth investigating.

"There is the potential to change our understanding of how this pandemic began," said Joel Wartaim, an evolutionary biologist at the University of California, San Diego.

The WHO investigative team called on the Chinese government to do more extensive serum testing of blood samples collected in Hubei Province in the fall of 2019, saying "more research is needed."

The Chinese authorities responded that they were not authorized to test the serum of a large number of samples stored in blood banks, the WHO said.

This fact was revealed while China is trying to'leave' the origin of Corona 19 on the grounds that suspected cases of Corona 19 appeared in other countries before December 8, 2019, the first report of the outbreak.

To date, suspicious cases have been confirmed in Italy, the United States, and France in November or early December 2019.

However, Professor Liang Wannian (梁萬年) Tsinghua University, who participated in the WHO investigation as a panel of experts on the Chinese side, said that as a result of antibody tests and blood samples obtained from 233 medical institutions in Hubei Province, there was no evidence that the virus had spread before December 2019. I drew a line.
