Zuzenhausen (dpa) - TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has another professional footballer in Havard Nordtveit who is out longer.
The Norwegian defender is absent from Borussia Dortmund because of a metatarsal injury in the Kraichgauer Bundesliga game on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky) and will be absent for a while.
Coach Sebastian Hoeneß referred to this at an online press conference on Thursday in Zuzenhausen.
The Hoffenheimers have had great personal concerns for months because of corona cases and long-term injuries.
Ermin Bicakcic (cruciate ligament rupture) is on the right track, says Hoeneß: "Maybe it will still work this season, you just have to wait and be patient."
Dennis Geiger and Kevin Akpoguma (both muscle and tendon injuries) are expected to return to team training in ten to 14 days and three to four weeks, respectively.
This is not foreseeable with captain Benjamin Hübner, who has not yet played a single game of the season due to a foot injury.
In addition, Konstantinos Stafylidis and Ryan Sessegnon are currently missing from the twelfth table.
