Husum (dpa / lno) - After a corona outbreak in a slaughterhouse in Husum (Schleswig-Holstein), the district of North Friesland has now announced that 59 of the 332 employees have already tested positive.

In addition to the regular workforce with around 207 employees, an external company with a total of 105 employees and 20 employees of the district veterinary office are also affected.

30 percent of the test results are still pending.

On Tuesday, after the corona outbreak became known in the company, the health department ordered all employees to be quarantined.

The district is now checking whether the closure of the company should be ordered by February 14, it said.
