Dresden (dpa / sn) - The Corona year 2020 has hardly had any impact on traffic obstructions on the motorways in Saxony.
The queue length has decreased to a total of 11 651 kilometers - that is only 3.6 percent less than in the previous year (2019: 12 074 kilometers).
The ADAC Sachsen announced on Thursday.
The longest traffic jams formed on the A4, where on some sections of the route there were no real changes in traffic compared to the previous year.
The ADAC recorded the heaviest day of the past year in Saxony on October 2nd.
On this Friday, the most traffic jams (234) were registered with a total of 87 traffic jams.
At that time, traffic was jammed for 141 kilometers on the A4 alone.
Nationwide, vehicle traffic fell by more than twelve percent in 2020, resulting in 51 percent fewer traffic disruptions and 52 percent fewer traffic jams.
