On January 22, a judicial investigation was opened in Lyon for "kidnapping, kidnapping and aggravated violence" after the disappearance of a young girl in her twenties, living in the Paris region.

The victim was allegedly beaten by his family who accused him of no longer being a virgin, according to his statements.

After their presentation to the prosecution, her brother was remanded in custody and her parents were released.

They were placed under judicial control, according to the regional daily.
