President Biden brought out both trade and human rights issues in a call with President Xi Jinping, which took place three weeks after taking office.

Not only the unfair trade that has been a problem since the Trump administration, but also the repression of Hong Kong, human rights issues in Xinjiang, and concerns about Taiwan relations.

President Xi confronted it as interference in internal affairs.

"The United States must respect China's core interests and act carefully," Xi said, while President Biden responded, "We will cooperate with China when China helps Americans."

The two leaders also set angles outside the field.

President Biden ordered the establishment of a defense strategy targeting China, and

[President Biden/USA: We must face the increasing challenges of China, and protect our interests and peace in the Indo-Pacific and around the world.]

President Xi Jinping said that no one

should protect

China. Said it couldn't be stopped.

[Chi Jinping/President of China: No force can stop the Chinese people from taking a step toward the great revival.]

President Biden said the phone call lasted for two hours, and expressed caution against China regarding infrastructure investment.

[Biden/U.S. President: Last night, I spoke with President Xi Jinping for two hours in a row.

If we don't move, China will eat our lunch.] As

President Biden made clear the succession of a hard-line policy to the public, and President

Xi

rebelled against it, it is said that the US-China conflict has entered the second round.
