Schwerin (dpa / mv) - After a break in the Corona year 2020, the "Entrepreneur of the Year" is being sought again in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
As the Ministry of Economic Affairs announced in Schwerin on Wednesday, 40 proposals have been made so far.
This also included companies that kept up their applications from the previous year.
The registration deadline is March 26th.
«I am sure that we have other impressive entrepreneurs and creative business ideas in the country.
I expressly encourage everyone to apply for the award themselves or to suggest others, ”said Economics Minister Harry Glawe (CDU).
According to him, there have been submissions from the manufacturing industry, the construction industry, the medical technology sector and the food industry.
The prize, endowed with a total of 15,000 euros, is awarded in the categories of entrepreneurial personality, corporate development as well as securing skilled workers and family friendliness.
Companies with their registered office or branch in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are eligible to participate.

The competition is taking place for the 14th time this year.
In addition to the Ministry of Economics, the sponsors are the savings banks, the chambers of industry and commerce as well as the chambers of crafts and the association of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania business associations.
The award ceremony is scheduled for May 26th.
