Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The primary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia start on February 22nd with lessons in alternating models.

School Minister Yvonne Gebauer (FDP) said on Wednesday after the federal-state consultations on the corona crisis.

Primary schools for special needs should also start again.

The youngest suffered the most from the corona restrictions, it said.

In NRW, students from all types of schools have been taking distance lessons since mid-December.

The ministry has decided on a comprehensive protection concept.

In the future, there should be two corona tests for teachers per week.
