Lockdown phases, avoidance of contact and also the simple fear of the virus have led to the fact that many patients with psychological problems have not or hardly ever seen their therapists personally since the beginning of the pandemic.

Patients are therefore increasingly using digital alternatives. One is to talk to the therapist on the phone using a webcam and computer. Due to the crisis, the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and the National Association of Health Insurance Funds (GKV) relaxed the regulations in March 2020.
