  The lighting ceremony was held at the entrance of the outdoor Chinatown parking lot. The president of the Chinatown Public Security Foundation expressed his gratitude to the Fujian Chamber of Commerce for supporting the Spring Festival lantern hanging event in the past two years.

The president of the Public Security Foundation said that in the past few weeks, volunteers braved the wind, snow and severe cold, and hung up thousands of lanterns and 100 pairs of Chinese LED lanterns one by one on the streets of Chinatown. The Guangzhou Association also assisted in Yonghuo Street. Hanging red lanterns in the area makes the entire Chinatown look prosperous and beaming.

  In addition, a set of panda lanterns was installed near the intersection of Shemai Road and Yonghuo Street. The lights will come on at night, giving Chinatown a special festive atmosphere.
