It was the morning of last Friday, January 29, when the robbery took place.

In the pharmacy near the Mosque on the M-30 there was one of the employees at the counter and another in the back room.

The two criminals entered the pharmacy armed with a pick and a knife

.

They were thirsty for money.

They had just tried to rob a DIA supermarket and this was their second target of the morning.

Seeing the empty premises from outside, they entered the store.

One of them tried to threaten the employee, but she was able to leave the store and ask for help.

Hearing the screams, his partner Ana Isabel came out of the back of the store to the counter area.

When he saw the two robbers, he also tried to escape immediately

.

At that moment, according to the police account, the thief lunged towards the pharmacist, throwing her to the ground.

He got on top of her and began to stab her several times.

The woman

tried to defend herself by putting her hands between the aggressor and her body

, causing the stabbing to repeatedly hit her hands.

Ana Isabel yelled at him: "Take whatever you want, but let me go!"

In parallel, his buddy went to the cash register and tried to take it away, but could not pull it.

Arrested in the subway car

Hearing the screams of the people outside the pharmacy, the two assailants fled.

The witnesses indicated that they left for the Barrio de la Concepción subway station and entered the subway, where

the agents managed to identify and arrest them when they had just got on the wagon.

Meanwhile, Ana Isabel ran to the nearby health center on Panama Canal Street.

From there, she was transferred to the Ramón y Cajal Hospital, as she presented numerous stab wounds and the middle finger severed by the upper phalanx.

Shortly after, the Scientific Police arrived at the pharmacy for the visual inspection.

At that moment they discovered a piece of phalanx on the ground.

They got a small refrigerator from the pharmacy to put the phalanx in ice.

With no time to lose, they notified their colleagues from the GAC of the National Police of the Ciudad Lineal police station, who immediately transferred him to Ramón y Cajal.

On the way to the Hospital they warned the medical center to warn them of the finding.

Within a few hours,

the surgeons reimplanted the amputated piece with the pharmacist, thanks to the rapid intervention of the agents.
