Neuss (dpa) - The fire brigade saved a wild boar from drowning in a swimming pool in Neuss.
A fire department spokesman reported that the animal broke through the ice cover and did not come out on its own.
Attempts to build a staircase for him failed because of his distrust.
Finally, the fire brigade resorted to a clever method: They filled the half-empty pool with water so that the wild boar could climb the edge of the pool and disappear into the next forest, soaking wet.
