This marks a major achievement in the national key research and development plan "Development of a fixed-wing time domain airborne electromagnetic measurement technology system", and has strongly promoted the development of my country's aviation geophysical exploration.

  In the functional test flight of the time-domain aviation electromagnetic measurement system, the 12F time-domain aircraft flew for more than 30 hours, and the functions and performance of the first domestic large-depth fixed-wing aviation electromagnetic measurement system were fully verified.

During the flight test of the transport 12F time domain aircraft, subjects such as coil state adjustment, stall speed and stall characteristics, single-engine climb performance, control stability characteristics inspection, aerial retractable pod and time domain aviation electromagnetic measurement system function test flight were successively completed.

The flight test team composed of Hafei Aviation Industry, Hafei General Aviation Industry and the Institute of Geophysical and Geochemical Exploration of the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, after more than 100 days of intense work, overcame the influence of unfavorable factors such as low temperature and epidemic situation, and accumulated more than 50 sorties for nearly 110 hours.   It is reported that the Yun 12F time domain aircraft is a component of the national key research and development plan "deep earth resource mining" approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and is one of the four core topics in the "fixed-wing time domain aviation electromagnetic measurement technology system development" project.

The Y12F time domain aircraft uses the Y12F 001th aircraft as the carrier. In response to the requirements of high-efficiency and high-precision aviation geophysical exploration, large-scale modification work has been carried out on the entire aircraft, such as laying launch coils and installing time-domain mission equipment.

The full configuration of the Yun 12F time domain aircraft includes a 5-turn coil for electromagnetic pulse transmission. It has the advantages of large range, fast flight speed, and high launch efficiency. It is the most advanced time domain fixed-wing aircraft in China.
