Hamm.

The Higher Regional Court (OLG) in Hamm reported on corresponding decisions on Tuesday.

The OLG confirmed two judgments by the local courts of Lemgo and Brakel for violations of the regulation.

The courts had fined two men for meeting two other people and not keeping the minimum distance of 1.50 meters.

Only meetings of two people were allowed.

The men had taken action against the decisions.

The OLG decisions are not contestable.

In one case, in May 2020, a man in Bad Salzuflen near a youth center met two other people without keeping their distance.

He was sentenced to a fine of 200 euros.

In the other case, in April of last year, a man in Brakel was traveling with two others without the required distance.

Instead of the fine of 230 euros imposed by the local court, the OLG saw an amount of 200 euros as appropriate.

In the Corona Protection Ordinance, which has been in force since January 11, people from one household are only allowed to meet one other person.
