China News Service, Kuala Lumpur, February 9. The Ministry of Health of Malaysia reported on the 9th that as of 12 noon that day, the country had newly confirmed 2,764 new cases of new coronary pneumonia in the past 24 hours.

This is the first time that Malaysia's new confirmed cases in a single day have fallen to less than 3,000 since January 13 this year.

During this period, Malaysia had more than 5,700 newly diagnosed cases in a single day, and more than 4,000 cases were repeatedly confirmed.

The Ministry of Health of Malaysia also pointed out that by February 8th, the basic infection rate (R0) of the new crown pneumonia in Malaysia has dropped to 0.91, which is also the lowest R0 record in the country since this year.

The Malaysian government also announced on the 9th that it will fully open the retail industry from the 10th to ensure the livelihood of small businesses.

As of now, Malaysia has accumulated more than 248,000 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia and a total of 909 deaths.

In addition, Malaysia Yongda Group Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement on the 9th, and reached an agreement to further promote the launch of the third clinical trial of the new crown vaccine developed by Kangtai Biological in Malaysia and subsequent product purchases.

After the initial clinical trial, the Chinese and Malaysian industries once again joined hands in vaccine cooperation.

China and Malaysia signed the "Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Malaysia on Vaccine Development and Availability" in November last year.
