The department provided data on 3,860 cases of infection, of which 2,968 fell on 8 February. The rest were detected on 6–7 February in a number of regions, but information about them was not sent to the Ministry of Health in time and was not included in summary statistics.
On February 7, the department informed about 3,203 new infections.
At the moment, 22.2 million Canadians have been tested for coronavirus, 747.1 thousand people have recovered.
