Despite a well-modified starting eleven, Lyon easily qualified for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France on Tuesday by winning 5 to 1 at the expense of AC Ajaccio, 10th in Ligue 2.

Faced with a Corsican team that has never been able to put up the slightest resistance, OL, 2nd in L1, won its fifth victory in a row, including four in the league, and confirms its good momentum under the leadership of its leader and Captain Memphis Depay.

Before leaving at half-time for the benefit of Houssem Aouar, substitute, the Dutchman showed the way for the Lyonnais by opening the scoring in the 10th minute after a service from Islam Slimani.

The latter, who arrived during the transfer window of January, and after a few appearances without glare, this time took advantage of the playing time granted to him by coach Rudi Garcia as well as several other players lacking playing time. like his compatriot, Djamel Benlamri or the young Rayan Cherki and Melvin Bard.

Aligned at kickoff as a center-forward, Slimani scored OL's second goal by taking a cross from Italian Mattia De Sciglio (22) after asking goalkeeper Benjamin Leroy on a good shot (19) then on a nice recovery from the head of the Algerian international (34).

The score was then already 3-0 after the goal of Maxwel Cornet, alerted by Bruno Guimaraes (24).

Islam Slimani, on a one-two, again offered Rayan Cherki the fourth goal shortly before half-time (4-0, 38).

After half-time, Aouar brought the score to 5-0 on a penalty which he himself obtained (78).

At the very end of the game, Ajaccio reduced the mark on a seemingly generous penalty transformed by Riad Nouri (5-1, 90).

In a period during which the matches are linked, with the reception of Montpellier in Ligue 1 on Saturday, coach Rudi Garcia has not yet failed to involve his sidelines.
