Düsseldorf (AP) - Holstein Kiel landed another important victory in the promotion race of the second Bundesliga and distanced the direct competitor Fortuna Düsseldorf.
On Monday, Kiel, who were still unbeaten away, won deservedly 2-0 (1-0) when relegated.
Alexander Mühling (35th minute / penalty kick) and Jae-Sung Lee (47th) shot coach Ole Werner's team to victory.
With this, Kiel is now with 39 points after 20 games, only two points behind the leaders Hamburger SV.
Fortuna slipped to seventh place after the second defeat in a row and is already seven points behind the promotion ranks.
