Schwerin (dpa / mv) - In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the first of around 5.2 million FFP2 masks provided by the state will be distributed on Tuesday.
According to the state government, the masks should first be issued in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district because the corona infection numbers are highest there in the country.
The districts of Mecklenburg Lake District, Ludwigslust-Parchim and the state capital Schwerin will then follow.
Each household should receive six FFP2 masks within ten days.
The delivery takes place via the logistics network of the daily newspapers in the letter boxes.
In local transport and in shops, a simple surgical mask or an FFP2 mask currently has to be worn because these offer greater protection against the coronavirus than masks made of cotton, for example.
