Doha (AP) - In the semifinals of the Club World Cup in Qatar, Hansi Flick relies on double coverage in midfield of FC Bayern Munich.

In addition to Joshua Kimmich, the Spanish U21 European champion Marc Roca will play in the semifinals against Al Ahly Cairo from Egypt on Monday evening in Doha.

Roca, like center-back Jérôme Boateng and full-back Alphonso Davies, is new to the team compared to the 1-0 win against Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga.

In Berlin, Kimmich had played alone in the sixth position.

Niklas Süle, Leroy Sané and Lucas Hernández, who played against Hertha in the starting eleven, are initially sitting on the bench in the Ahmad-bin-Ali Stadium, where an audience is playing despite the corona pandemic.

At the Club World Cup in the desert state, which had been postponed to February 2021 due to the corona virus, Bayern are aiming for their sixth title.

In the great year 2020 they won the championship, DFB Cup, Champions League and the German and European Supercup.

In 2013, the Munich club were already club world champions.
