A police car in Nantes city center -

They were prowling around the Brittany tower when they tried to pick on a man to pick his pockets.
Two 14-year-old teenagers were arrested and taken into police custody on Sunday afternoon in Nantes for aggravated extortion, police reports.
The two college students are suspected of having threatened a 25-year-old passer-by with a knife in an attempt to steal money from him, around 4:30 p.m.
But the man would have drawn a knife himself, which would have dissuaded the two young suspects from going any further.
Followed by his attackers who threatened him, he then stopped a CRS van passing by to alert the situation.
Two knives and a dummy, plastic automatic pistol were found on the teenagers.
Police say they came out of custody with a summons to the children's judge for indictment in April.
