A new expertise in the case of the death of Adama Traoré involves the police.

In this document unveiled by the newspaper "L'Obs this Monday February 8, Belgian doctors evoke a possible link between the death of this young man aged 24, in July 2016, in a heat wave in a barracks in Val d'Oise , and the methods used by the gendarmes to stop him.

Just before dying, Adama Traoré was the victim of a "heat stroke" as a result of his chase in the middle of a heat wave with the gendarmes who were trying to stop him.

And the effects of this heat stroke could have been aggravated by the soldiers who immobilized the young man on his stomach and handcuffed him behind his back.

This is what the Belgian doctors commissioned by the French courts believe last July.

Experts who specify that there was no "

ventral tackle

", as claimed by the family of the victim.

But that without "

these maneuvers of restraint

 ",

Adama Traoré

probably would not have died.

These conclusions contradict the official expertises carried out so far which

clears the gendarmes

and explains the death of the young man by his medical history.

For Belgian doctors, the pathologies from which Adama Traoré suffered may have had an influence on the fatal outcome, but were not decisive.

The family of the young man, who since the beginning of the

case

points the finger at the responsibility of the gendarmes, is satisfied with this new expertise.

As for the lawyer for the accused soldiers, he recalls that the three men only used "

regulatory gestures

" in the face of a person who was rebelling.
