Künzelsau (dpa) - There has been a major corona outbreak in one of the four logistics centers of the tool trading giant Würth.

As the State Health Office in Stuttgart confirmed to the dpa on Monday evening, around 40 employees have tested positive for the corona virus.

When checking in the laboratory, it was found in three cases that it was the even more contagious corona mutation from Great Britain.

It is expected that this virus variant will be detected in further samples.

First the "Heilbronner Voice" reported on the outbreak.

The Würth spokeswoman told the newspaper that far-reaching measures had been introduced and that around 1,000 logistics employees had been subjected to rapid tests.

The corona cases were almost exclusively concentrated in a single logistics center.

The operation could continue.
