There were several people who alerted about gunfire in Nyfors in Eskilstuna during the early evening of 17 September.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 16-year-old boy with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to hospital but a little later the news came that the boy's life could not be saved.
A boy of the same age was suspected of the murder and has been detained for the crime.
On Monday, the indictment was filed against him.
He is suspected of murder and aggravated weapon crime.
