Hamm (dpa / lnw) - With the argument that winter tires can only be used for one axle, a sports car driver amazed the Dortmund motorway police on the A2 near Hamm.
The man got stuck with his vehicle in the snow on Sunday night, the police said on Sunday.
The officials used the curious excuse to point out that winter tires are compulsory: an accident could not only be more expensive than winter tires, it could also have dire consequences for life and limb.
