Wuppertal (dpa) - Rescue workers have freed six people from a suspension railway in Wuppertal.

The train could not go through because of the icy weather and stopped, a spokesman for the fire department said on Sunday.

The passengers were freed from lofty heights with turntable ladders.

All are unharmed.

The speaker could not say when the train would run again.
