Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The NRW Ministry of Health has made it clear that no vaccination appointment is lost due to the onset of winter.

The vaccination centers in North Rhine-Westphalia would open on Monday as planned, despite the current sometimes extreme weather, the ministry emphasized on Sunday evening.

"All those entitled to vaccinations who have made an appointment can be vaccinated against the coronavirus there as planned."

The vaccination appointments should be kept if possible.

However, citizens with a Monday appointment who do not feel able to keep the appointment due to the weather can also come on Tuesday.

You should then go to the vaccination center at the same time as the original appointment, the ministry said.

The Ministry corrected earlier information from several cities and districts in the Münsterland, which in such cases had asked citizens to come on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

A prior cancellation of the Monday appointment is expressly not necessary, as a ministry spokesman said.

According to him, it is not necessary to arrange a new appointment by telephone, which some municipalities had asked for.
