During his

first consultations

, Mario Draghi has already obtained the support of small centrist and radical left formations as well as those of the Democratic Party led by Nicola Zingaretti, Italia Viva of the Machiavellian Matteo Renzi who brought down Giuseppe's number 2 government. Conte, and Forza Italia by Silvio Berlusconi.

But to the great surprise of the Italians, Mario Draghi would also have convinced the leader of the Sovereignist League, Matteo Salvini.

As for the 5-Star Movement, which holds the relative majority in Parliament, it positions itself in favor of an executive with broad agreement.

During his second round of consultations, the banker, loaned to politics, will therefore summarize the parties' proposals to refine his program and will have to decide on the composition of the government he hopes to create.

Mario Draghi is

expected to return his conclusions to the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.
