Erfurt (dpa / th) - In Thuringia, according to the Ministry of Health on Sunday, 149 Covid-19 patients are currently receiving intensive care.
The proportion of intensive care beds occupied by these patients is around 24.2 percent.
Three weeks ago it was still 30 percent.
In order to further relax the situation in the hospitals, it must be reduced to well below 20 percent, it said.
As before, Thuringia has the highest number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants nationwide within seven days.
The value on Sunday was around 135. From Saturday to Sunday, 235 new infections were reported in the Free State.
This has increased the total number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic to 68,462. A total of 2,359 people have died in connection with Covid-19 so far.
