Berlin (dpa / bb) - Civil investigators from the State Criminal Police Office arrested two young men in Berlin-Pankow who had stolen a 78-year-old's handbag.
The emergency services observed the 19 and 23-year-old suspects as they approached the elderly woman with her walker on Saturday afternoon in Paracelsusstrasse and were able to steal the bag unnoticed, as the police announced on Sunday.
The duo drove away with the loot in a car, but was stopped and arrested shortly afterwards by civil investigators.
According to the information, the suspects do not have a permanent address.
The 78-year-old got her handbag back.
