Berlin (dpa) - Alba Berlin remains unbeatable in the basketball Bundesliga for the time being.

Two days after the bitter 95: 101 defeat in the Euroleague at Bayern Munich, the capitals prevailed on Sunday with 83:65 (34:27) against the Niners Chemnitz.

With the 13th win in the 14th championship game and the ninth in a row, Alba consolidated second place in the table behind the MHP giant Ludwigsburg.

The best scorers among the Berliners were Marcus Eriksson with 20 points and Louis Olinde with 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Still without the injured Jayson Granger, Niels Giffey and Peyton Siva, Alba Chemnitz hardly left any leeway offensively.

After a 2: 6 start, the team of head coach Aito Garcia Reneses took control and did not let the guests score for ten minutes, but scored themselves and pulled away to 19: 6.

With a rate of 47 percent, Alba was very accurate, especially from a distance, Eriksson scored five three-point throws.

In the second quarter, the committed climber from Chemnitz managed to keep the game balanced.

In the second half, however, the expected balance of power became apparent.

Alba played offensively patiently and with a better rhythm and pulled away again.

After a 60:49 lead before the final section, the hosts expanded this to over 20 points until shortly before the end of the game.
