The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will revoke the "Announcement" of illegal models and impose penalties in accordance with laws and regulations.
The two departments also require companies to strictly perform their main safety responsibilities, draw inferences from one another, conduct comprehensive investigations, strengthen vehicle production quality management, and improve truck safety quality.
The person in charge of the enterprise stated that he would immediately organize rectification in accordance with the requirements of the two departments, recover all vehicles with hidden dangers, strictly implement safety management responsibilities, and ensure the safety and quality of vehicles.
Prior to this, in response to the illegal production and sales of trucks with "large-ton and small-standard" trucks exposed by the "10.4" major road traffic accident in Songyuan, Jilin last year, the two departments have jointly interviewed Foton Times Motor Company.
Foton Times Automobile Company earnestly followed the requirements of the two departments and quickly organized investigations and rectifications. So far, more than 1,500 vehicles with "large-ton and small-standard" hidden dangers have been recovered and rectified, and safety hazards have been eliminated in a timely manner.
In the next step, the two departments will continue to promote the special rectification of trucks with "large tons and small labels", strictly investigate and punish illegal production, illegal sales, and illegal modification, and further strictly enforce accountability for violations of laws and regulations, and promote enterprises to implement the main responsibility of safety.
