From complications that developed against the background of COVID-19 and concomitant diseases, 76,229 people died.

During the day, the number of deaths increased by 497.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, since the beginning of observations, more than 104 million laboratory tests have been carried out for a new type of coronavirus infection, including 404 thousand in the last day.

626 795 people remain under medical supervision.

In Moscow, 2214 new cases of coronavirus were detected, in St. Petersburg - 1248, in the Moscow region - 955.

According to the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev, Russia can vaccinate against coronavirus all citizens who want it by June.

“Of course, the focus is on the vaccination of Russians, and Russia is actually the only country in the world that can vaccinate all citizens who want by June,” Dmitriev said in an interview with the Russia 1 TV channel.

He also noted that the Russians received a "great privilege", since, according to him, in the US and European countries, mass vaccinations are scheduled for early autumn.

At the same time, he noted that manufacturers of Russian vaccines are focusing on Russia.

Resumption of railway communication

Earlier it became known that those arriving in Russia by train will need to provide a certificate of the absence of coronavirus disease.

This is stated in the recommendations of the Eurasian Economic Commission for the prevention of coronavirus in passenger railway traffic published on the Rospotrebnadzor website.

"Persons arriving from abroad by rail are required to submit a certificate of examination for coronavirus infection COVID-19 with a negative laboratory test by PCR," the text says.

The document must be issued no later than three days before the date of border crossing.

The certificate will not be required for children under the age of five (if the accompanying persons have a certificate).

Requirements for a certificate also do not apply to members of government delegations upon their return to their homeland, employees of locomotive brigades and other persons associated with railway transportation.

“In the absence of a certificate, measures are taken in accordance with the legislation of the Member States,” the document also says.

It is noted that if the arrivals have an elevated body temperature, they must be isolated in a quarantine hospital for up to two days for testing.

Persons with a positive result are sent to an infectious diseases hospital for treatment.

If the test is negative, you should be isolated at home for 12 days.

It is also recommended to organize separate corridors for arriving and departing passengers at train stations.

Along with this, it is recommended to organize incoming temperature control, provide employees with personal respiratory protection and gloves, treat hands with an antiseptic and adhere to the principles of social distancing.

The document emphasizes that it is advisory in nature.

Rospotrebnadzor noted that the measures taken can be both weakened and toughened in accordance with the legislation of the member states.

Recall that international rail passenger traffic was suspended in the spring of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, the passenger traffic of trains has been restored only with Abkhazia.

This happened in August 2020.

According to the government's decision, from February 8, Russia resumes railway communication with Belarus and increases the number of flights to Minsk.

We are talking about the routes Minsk - Moscow - Minsk and Moscow - Kaliningrad, Kaliningrad - St. Petersburg with a train stop in Minsk.

Note that trains en route to Kaliningrad did not stop in Belarus amid the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

Along with this, since February 8, the number of regular flights Moscow - Minsk will increase from three to five per week, and air communication from Rostov-on-Don and St. Petersburg to Minsk is being resumed - one flight per week from each airport.

Earlier, the deputy general director of Russian Railways Dmitry Pegov said that it takes three days to launch any previously closed international route.
