Ostrhauderfehn (dpa / lni) - In the fire of a residential and commercial building in Ostrhauderfehn in the Leer district in East Friesland, three people were injured on Saturday, one of them life-threatening.

As the police announced, a 47-year-old resident of the house suffered life-threatening smoke inhalation.

The 80-year-old house owner and her 47-year-old daughter came to the hospital with slight smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire was initially unclear.

The two women, who lived in different apartments, noticed the smell of burning and were able to escape the house on their own.

The 47-year-old's life partner had to be brought out of the house by rescue workers and resuscitated.

The fire brigade put out the flames and prevented them from attacking a barber shop in the front of the house.

The property damage is estimated at around 150,000 euros.
