Regensburg (dpa / lby) - After checking an empty apartment, the police in Regensburg found a hand grenade in addition to narcotics.

A witness had called the emergency services because their flashlight had been noticed in the apartment, as a police spokesman announced on Saturday.

The patrol found two men in the apartment who were not reported at the address.

The officers also found a large number of drugs containing narcotics.

The police discovered a hand grenade and ammunition in the men's vehicle.

The area around the car was then cordoned off by the police on Friday and explosives experts from the State Criminal Police Office were called in.

According to the information, the experts found that it was a defused model of a Russian hand grenade and that it no longer poses any danger.
