Manchester United, who lost Paul Pogba to injury, were hooked by Everton (3-3) on Saturday on Matchday 23 of the Premier League, and could see City take the lead on Sunday, while Arsenal, beaten to Aston Villa (1-0), sees Europe move away.

A goal full of aggressiveness, at the end of added time, by Dominic Calvert-Lewin (3-3, 90 + 4) leaves only one point to the Red Devils who led by two goals at the break.

They therefore remain 2 lengths behind Manchester City (47 points) who move to Anfield Road on Sunday - and which could deal an almost fatal blow to Liverpool's hopes of retaining their title, in the event of defeat -, and have a game late .

United also lost a great opportunity to consolidate its place in the top 4, after the draw (0-0) of West Ham (5th with 39 points) at the relegation Fulham.

After the drunkenness of the 9-0 inflicted on Southampton in the middle of the week, it was a bit of a hangover for United who had all the cards in hand.

With good pressing and realism, United had taken off a header from Edinson Cavani (1-0, 24th) and a superb strike from Bruno Fernandes from the corner of the area (2-0, 45th).

Forty-five first minutes slightly tarnished by the exit of Paul Pogba (38th), who touched his right thigh while grimacing, suggesting a muscle injury.

But when they returned from the locker room, they were joined in three minutes thanks to another French midfielder, Abdoulaye Doucouré.

Doucouré only had to push a Dominic Calvert-Lewin cross to the bottom, gently deflected by David De Gea (2-1, 49th) before finding the volley from James Rodriguez on a cross for the equalizer (2-2 , 52nd).

Luke Shaw believed to give the victory to his people on a reversed header (3-2, 70th), but it was without counting on Calvert-Lewin who tore himself to take the ball on a free kick from Lucas Digne and to deceive a De Gea up close.

- Arsenal dominate but lose -

The afternoon saw another disappointment with Arsenal's defeat to Aston Villa (1-0), which leaves the Gunners in a poor 10th place, 9 points from the Champions League.

"We completely dominated the game, we dominated in all areas and we should have won," said a very frustrated Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal were quickly led on an interception by Bertrand Traoré who found Ollie Watkins, whose shot, deflected by an opposing defender, deceived Mat Ryan (1-0, 2nd).

But if the Londoners dominated the debates, they only scored 3 shots out of 14 against 8 out of 12 for their opponents.

With a point taken over the last three days, the Gunners lost the benefit of their nice series from December 26 to January 26 (5 wins and 1 draw in the league).

Aston Villa, with 35 points (8th), is 5 points from the top 4 but with two games late to play.

In the other matches at the start of the afternoon, Southampton could not forget their Old Trafford nightmare, losing (3-2) to Newcastle.

- Lined with Almiron -

The Magpies, with an Allan Saint-Maximin well in the first period, were detached thanks to a goal from Joe Willock (1-0, 16th), then a second from Miguel Almiron (2-0, 26th).

The Paraguayan even signed a double after an opposing defensive error to make the break before the break (3-1, 45 + 4).

But Newcastle, reduced to ten before the hour mark, trembled.

Takumi Minamino, on loan from Liverpool on Monday, made his debut by reducing the score to 2-1 (30th), before James Ward-Prowse scored his 4th direct free kick of the season to reduce the score to 3-2 (48th).

Only David Beckham and the French Laurent Robert scored more in a single exercise (5).

Danny Ings even found the post (63rd), but it is the Saints who are depressed with 6 points over the last 10 days, after having garnered 23 of the first 12.

In a low table match, Burnley and Brighton neutralized each other (1-1).
