Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The number of new corona infections continues to decline slightly in North Rhine-Westphalia.

According to the Robert Koch Institute, the important seven-day incidence on Saturday was 75.4 - the day before it was 77.7.

This means that NRW is doing a little better than the national average.

The target of the federal and state governments is an incidence - i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days - of no more than 50. From this value, the health authorities could better track the routes of infection.

According to the information, the Corona situation in NRW looked best in Münster (32.4) and in the Coesfeld district (35.8).

More critical were the numbers in Hagen (150.0) and in the Höxter district (110.5), which ranked at the top in a comparison of municipalities.

However, no district or urban district was above the very critical 200 mark.

However, the number of deaths related to the coronavirus is still high.

According to the RKI, 111 new deaths were added within 24 hours.

A total of 11 497 people died in connection with Covid-19 in North Rhine-Westphalia.
