Berlin (AP) - 1. FC Union Berlin wants to take another step towards relegation on the 20th matchday of the Bundesliga.
With a win at FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday (3:30 p.m. / Sky), the current eighth of the table would have extended the lead over the penultimate table to 22 points.
But Union coach Fischer remains cautious.
The Swiss thinks only from game to game, but he describes the coming weeks, in which it is against teams behind Union, as a "decisive phase".
In the Opel Arena, Fischer still has to do without the injured strikers Max Kruse, Sheraldo Becker and Anthony Ujah as well as Grischa Prömel.
According to Fischer, a deployment of Christopher Lenz is also unlikely.
Newcomer Petar Musa from Slavia Prague is available as an option for the attack after his quarantine.
